Happy! Happy!

Remember when you were a baby and you would scream with delight?  Well of course you probably don’t, but you know you probably did.  Here is Isabella screaming her little heart out and making some cute sneezes too.

New Years Eve 2012

Posted on Jan 1, 2013 in Family

It’s 2013 now.  A new year full of lots of promise and hope.  Last night everyone came over to the house and Tu made some spectacular noodle soup for Pho.  It took about 24 hours to prepare but the end result was well worth it.  Pho is Vietnamese Noodle Soup that is made with a very unique beef broth, thin noodles, 3 types of beef and fresh uncooked vegetables like Bean Sprouts that give the soup lots of fresh crunch.  It was a real fun night and a great way to ring in the New Year.

Tu prepares the soup.  Each bowl was individually tailored for each person.  That’s alot of work Tu!

I broke out the Jarvie Window and took some portraits. Here is Evan with his hair slicked back, a haircut that he say’s that he has always wanted.

Kat and Kevin were there.  We had some fun taking funny portraits with the Jarvie Window.

The kids were amazed by these portraits.  Here they are pictured with the guitar.

Evan even did a face-tape portrait where you put tape on your face and then take a picture.  Funny.

And of course Geno was always good for a funny portrait too.

Appreciate small moments in time.

There are those special moments in life that you look back on and always wish to go back. This may be one of those moments for Sarah and Little John.

Cruising San Diego Bay

Posted on Dec 30, 2012 in Family

Bill took us on a nice little boat ride yesterday so we could check out beautiful San Diego Bay before some torrential rains came in.  The morning was bright and sunny and by the time we got back to the dock it was already looking like rain.  San Diego has had such a rainy December that it seems a little bit like Seattle here.  I was able to get some really nice pictures that captured the day.

A view of the Star of India from the Bay.

Coming up on downtown San Diego from the Bay it was a beautiful sight.

You can go many places in the world, but San Diego will always be a place that you will remember as one of the most beautiful.

The Port of San Diego is a place that many cruise ships start their journeys.  It is a destination city.

It was a great day for sailing until it got too windy, cold and rainy.

Olivers Snow Party 2012

Posted on Dec 28, 2012 in Family

They have one every year.  Bridget and Michael pay for truckloads of snow to be brought in from the North Pole to have a snow party right in the town of Encinitas – the beautiful beach town.  The party was the best yet and there were lots of new babies that we welcomed this year.

Eoin and Evan Checking In

Posted on Dec 28, 2012 in Family

We headed out to Point Loma today to check out the Tide Pools.  Apparently everyone else had the same idea because it was so crowded there.  Well we managed to have some fun.  Eoin and Evan are out from the East Coast visiting with Danny and Camille.  Some hilarity ensued during the day particularly when Evan wanted to give his mom a video update of the event.  You can check out the video update here.

In case you doubt the friendly rivalry.

This became Evan’s favorite pose of the day.

We put a gold reflector on Eoin to give him a gold glow.  He seemed to like the effect.

Christmas Moments

Posted on Dec 27, 2012 in Family

This year was full of good Christmas cheer and times with family and friends.  What promised to be a long weekend of Christmas celebrations wisked by so quickly that it seemed to last just moments.  There was Christmas eve fun at Mom’s house in Coronado, fun with Camille, Danny, Eoin and Geno at their house and then an all day celebration at Bridget’s house for a surprise Snow Party for Oliver.  Oliver’s snow parties are always a hit.

Each day Frankie and James get cuter.  When they put on tiny Santa outfits the break the cuteness scale beyond repair.

1

Little John is cute too. Look at him wearing this hat!

2

Tu and Oliver are cute too!

3

Last year not one of these little cutey pies was even born yet.

4

The big thing with little toddlers this year is sports cars.  And they love it.

5

This year all the nieces and nephews got together for the first time. Friendships are forming.

6

Isabella races across the bed to her mom wearing a very cute hat.

7

Isabella plays with Mom’s necklace.  She is so curious.

8

The three amigos.  It’s hard to look at this photo and not giggle with happiness.

9

Darla took the corn cob pipe right out of the Snow Man’s mouth and put it in hers.

10

Look at these little best friends, sitting side by side, sharing conversation, and cookies!

11

Every time I see Darla she had another cute outfit on.  What a stylaista extraordinario.

12

Geno gets more handsome everyday, doesn’t he?

13

Just in case you did not get enough happiness.  More cute twins dressed as Santa’s little helpers.

Merry Christmas

Posted on Dec 25, 2012 in Family

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.  Not a creature was stirring, but Darla was still up waiting and looking for Santa Claus.
