We’ll miss her very much

Posted on Nov 25, 2012 in Family

This Thanksgiving was a sad day for Tu and her family, and for me.  Her grandmother passed away in the morning and everyone was very sad.  She is missed so much and right now people are coming from all over to say goodbye to her.  Vietnamese funerals last many days and it gives a chance for people to come from all over to say their final goodbyes.

Tu and her grandmother were very close.  I met Tu’s grandmother last year when I visited Vietnam and she was so full of life and personality.  She would always make me laugh with jokes and things she would say.  Since I used to eat with my hands when I was there she thought I was Cambodian and used to ask me if I was from Cambodia.  Well that just made me laugh so hard because I doubt I look very Cambodian at all.  But that just gives you an idea of her wonderful personality and way with people.

I was very sorry to hear of the news of Tu’s grandmother because we all loved her very much and she will be missed so.  Tu was in Vietnam with her and that was a blessing.  Goodbye to Grandma until we see her again in heaven.

We took these pictures a little over a year ago in Vinh Long where Tu’s family and grandma lived.  This is Tu giving her a kiss.

Tu and her grandma are good friends.

Tu’s family is very close, the whole family lives together no matter how young or old they are.

In pictures you can see someone’s eyes smile.  Can you see her eyes smiling?  I can.

How cool is Tu’s Grandma?  She will be sorely missed.

Charlie, “It’s Acting” Giron

Posted on Nov 18, 2012 in Family, photography

Let me introduce to you a young and up and comer in the acting business named Charlie Giron.  Charlie performed live yesterday and for a few days prior at North Park Theater in a musical named “How to Succeed in Business without Trying”.  The musical was phenomenal and flawless with beautiful sets, costumes, vocals and acting.  I was actually surprised that this was an amateur musical with high school kids because it was even better than some musicals that I have seen on Broadway.  It is a shame that they only had 5 performances because I do think that this could be a hit if they took it nationwide. Unfortunately that is not something that will happen since most of them are still in school.d  But, my gosh it was great.

Here is a little video of Charlie flipping out.  The whole audience cheered when Charlie did this flip.  Check it out for yourself.

Charlie dances with other pirates.  This is actually a good dance to remember because if you ever become a Pirate you can dance like one easily since you already know it.

Handsome Charlie is what they call him and the title fits well with this classic 1960’s Mad Men look.

Cute couple.  Who knows.  Showmance.

Charlie always gets the mail there on time.

Mila was a star too, here she is walking around North Park just enjoying the nice weather and the show.

Geno!

Went to go see the awesome Geno play soccer today.  Actually it was an all soccer day because after watching Geno play soccer we went to a San Diego Soccer’s game and watched more soccer.  It was a soccer saturday which in San Diego is actually much better than a Football Sunday considering the state of the San Diego Chargers.  I took lots of pictures but only had time to go through a few to post them to the blog.

Geno is actually really good at Soccer and getting better everyday.  Last week he scored 2 goals and today his goal was to score 11.  He didn’t make it but as you can tell from the pictures he had a pretty awesome game.

Happy Halloween 2012

Posted on Nov 1, 2012 in Family

The tradition is to head over to Mom’s house in Coronado to celebrate Halloween.  There is free food and best of all free candy.  This year there were so many new babies that were celebrating their first Halloween that it made it kind of special.  John, Isabella, Frankie, James and of course Oliver and Geno were there as well to trick or treat with their pillowcases.  What a blast and cuteness festival it was as you can see from the pictures.

Isabela had on a very cute little red riding hood outfit.

Mila got photo bombed by her loving parents who were hugging in the background. She was horrified.

Precious little John was looking, precious.

Best friends Geno and Oliver had a great time shooting and wrestling each other.

Mom spent some time with her beautiful grandson.

Little John was a pirate. A cute pirate. The cutest pirate ever.

Look how he hangs on to his mom. Never wants to let her go.

Beautiful blue eyes.  Handsome pirate.

What is the pirate thinking? Little John is very happy, don’t you think?

This shot reminds me of the where the wild things are.  James was so cuddly and cute in his EWOK costume.  How irresistible is he?

An Ewok, a pirate and a Yoda.  This was a moment of cuteness caught forever.

Notice this pirate has a cute peg leg made of yarn.

Future successful and handsome business men of America.  Just like dad.

Chloe has a way with babies.  They are drawn to her.

Little John stressed to me the importance of me noting that I point out that he is holding his sword like a real pirate.

Isabella’s Closet

She has many beautiful dresses.  Each morning when she wakes, her mother lets her choose one dress to wear that day.  Isabella takes her time to choose the most beautiful dress and finishes off the outfit with a signature pink bow to hold her curly sandy blond hair in place.

After choosing the perfect dress the choices are simple.  What cookie to eat.  When to take a nap.  When to play.  Life is good. Life is simple for Isabella and because of that  – beautiful.

Isabella’s Magic Show

Michelle created a video of Isabella’s wonderful and mysterious magic show.  It is truly magical and cute. This is a must watch.

Isabella is cute!

Isabella was out this weekend.  As usual she had her signature hair bow in her hair and was full of cuteness to show to the camera.  She went to my mom’s to keep her company and cheer her up.  You see mom is just a little sick but Isabella was able to really make her feel better by cheering her up with her happy smile.  It was really nice to see Isabella.  How pretty does she look?

Isabella is picture perfect here.  Framed by a old wooden frame while laying on the bed.

Isabella in black and white, peering through the bed frame directly to the camera.

Isabella double waves as I walk away.

Isabella looks sweet while crawling on mom’s bed.

What does that word say Isabella?
