Max and Carlie Get Married

Posted on Oct 11, 2016 in photography

My friends Max and Carlie got married this last Saturday in a teeny tiny ceremony on the beautiful beaches of San Diego.   It was a beautiful and simple ceremony and you can check out all the pictures here.  I served as both the witness and photographer.  It was a beautiful day and a perfect ceremony.  Congrats to the married couple and 1000 years of happiness. You can see the whole gallery here – Max and Carlie.

Give Away the Farm

I signed up for a website called  Unsplash is a unique website in that they have embraced the modern digital age where everyone expects stuff on the internet to be free.

The concept is that you upload your photos and that anyone, anywhere can download your pictures for free and use them for anything that they want.  It sounds a little crazy but it actually generates quite a bit of interest.  People love free stuff.

I have never really charged for photography or photos because I really got into photography for my own enjoyment and for people to just look at my pictures.

I signed up about 30 days ago and I must say a lot of people go to my page and download the images.  I uploaded about 30 images and received over 1 million views and 13,000 downloads in that time.  That’s about 30,000 views a day which is far more than I ever get in any other channel.
