A Real Man’s Man in the Kitchen (And the Gym Apparently Too)
“This little puppy packs 75 cubic inches of shelf space, dualy suicide freezer doors and packs a whooping 400 volts of chilling power.” said Danny as he showcased his new $1200 commercial fridge. “Plus I like to keep a vizzy on my stock and the transparent doors keep me in the know at all times.”
Pausing, Danny hit the side of the fridge with his open palm to show me how sturdy it was and said I could give it a swift kick it I wanted. I declined but I could definitely tell he had upped the macho game on his kitchen cooking . This was the real deal.
I noticed Danny’s shoulders looked a little broader and his biceps a little more defined. As it turns out he’s been hitting the gym pretty hard too between beefing up his kitchen capabilities. If you look in the picture you can pretty much tell how bad-ass his definition is.
This guy is really kickin it up a notch!
Camille Turns 3
Camille turns 3. Can you believe it? And she had a wonderful mermaid party to celebrate with her friends and family. Geno made homemade pizza for everyone and people took their turns doing flips into the pool. You can see the whole gallery here – Camille’s Birthday 3.
She had a nice 31 Flavors cake and she blew out the candles 4 times because she liked it so much. We had so much fun at the party.
All the colors matched the little mermaid theme. Even the balloons. And there were just the right amount of balloons, until 1 escaped and that made Isabella laugh so hard.
But I don’t think Camille noticed. She didn’t notice that one of the balloons escaped.
Happy Birthday Camille! You turned 3!
Don’t Wanna Work for the Man
Well, the McKenna Family continues a long tradition of not working for the man. It started with my dad and mom in the 60’s. They rejected the notion of working for the big corporations and started out on their own with a little Insurance shop in a small town called Chula Vista.
Grandpa Mannion used to say, “take care of the company and the company will take care of you”. That might have been the case in the olden days but those days are long gone.
The McKenna Clan has a host of small businesses that are all operating out their profitably supporting large families.
Let’s see, there is CSS Insurance, EastLake Insurance, McKenna Insurance Services, Erin McKenna’s Bakery, Briddie’s Floret, Point Predictive, Saigon Coffee. And now the latest, Barkley and Barkley Insurance. Sarah and John just started this company and they are really gaining some traction. They scheduled a huge event at the San Diego Yacht Club and got key executives from some of San Diego’s largest companies! Go get em Sarah and John!

Tu has been planning it all out. And it’s coming together. After many trips to Baby World, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel and other places the nursery is coming along.
3 more months until the big day. She’s getting ready.
