Nice little summer there San Diego
Hey, did someone forget to tell San Diego that there is such a thing as June Gloom? You know that time of year when a thick marine layer of clouds covers the sky for over a month and the town starts to look as gloomy and dim as London on a dreary day?
Apparently they did because the weather has been a smashing success. 5 Stars and 5 hip hip hoorays for the sun.
Photography inspires many to live better lives
I had another post in PetaPixel last night and I was blown away by the number of people that love photography and have stories about how it has changed their lives. There is something about the camera, about the simplicity of photography and the aspect of sharing that make it so wonderful to so many. The original post was from earlier this year as I was reflecting on how Photography has influenced my life. How Photography Changed My Life
Photography did change my life for the better. It made me go out and live life more fully and take advantage of everything the world around me had to offer. I was reading comments and saw that many people feel the same way.
Eli in Logan Heights
I took some pictures of Eli. He’s graduating and so he wanted to get some Senior Shots to use for a graduation announcement. Eli showed up with his guitar and I remember when I was in high school and guitar was my obsession so I could totally relate.
We took some pictures in Chicano Park and Logan Heights. There are so many cool buildings and back drops there that we got some good stuff. This is the first time I have done senior portraits for someone. We got some good stuff.
Scripps La Jolla is Best Place for Family Beach Portraits
The Williams Family came out from Arkansas to visit beautiful San Diego. They had a great time and saw all of the amazing things to see in San Diego – but in particular the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.
We have so many interesting things to do in San Diego but by far the best is the beach. That’s why we took pictures at the beautiful Scripps Pier in La Jolla.
Selfie Sunday
What do you do on a Sunday afternoon? You go out and take some self portraits. Look how matchy matchy we are?!!
People read my silly photography blog?
I started photography blogging about 1 year ago. I had about 10 readers a day on my blog and I thought, who the heck is reading this stuff. It turned out it was mostly my family and my fiance – Tu. I guess that is how it always works.
I logged onto to Google Analytics to look at my stats and this popped up today. I was amazed to see that there were 67 Active Visitors on my site at that precise moment. And those people were logging in from all over the world. It turns out someone had posted one of my entries on Reddit and it was getting many of hits.
But I looked further and noticed that I had already notched over 50,000 readers in the last year and possibly on pace for over 100,000 this year.
Are we in the Golden Age of Photography where this much interest is generated on it? I think so.
