Twas not for my beautiful Winnie, I’d be a lonely Man Indeed.

People don’t understand my fascination with beautiful things….An embroidered silk blouse.  A fancy hat. Wearing Parisian flats and tinkling my toes in the pond. A good book. A glass of Chantilly (No Ice Please.  Please No Ice!) . Succulent exotic fruits dipped in creme de menthe infused cream. A party favor – how lovely!  Gold coins – oh the feel of it in your hands!

Scatting around town with light feet on a sunny morning. A light jog on a foggy beach (like a young Marilyn Monroe). A fur coat made of young fox – how perfectly devine. A single red rose – yes I do love you although I must admit tipsy on this champagne. Ballet in the park.  Ballet in the dark.. yes simply BALLET ANYWHERE.

An oversexed kitten- I do fancy myself just that indeed. Silk pillows to lay ones head. Silk pajamas on a cool morning after that first sip of a Mimosa (dash a bit extra in for me love!)  ah you do know me well.

A painting of me, kneeling, weeping into a willowed and heavily wooded creek while two winged faeries attempt to console me to no avail.  A prancing white horse with princess carriage in tow.   The snap of a pair of fresh white and tight briefs after a salt scrub.

The smell of Minolo Blahniks upon first opening the box. A  single feather in a cap atop a handsome boatman’s head. A flick of a single drop of water that rest upon a leaf on a single tree in a field.  A hummingbird in flight to make your heart dance circles. Fancy ketchup in glass bottles.

These are all those things of beauty that enrich my soul.   And through it all – there is Winnie.  Tis not for my beautiful Winnie, I’d be a lonely man indeed.

Adult Crash Goes Ballistic in a Taco Shop called Copa Cabana

Posted on May 25, 2014 in Music

ad1It was just another night.  Or was it?  It was actually, but Adult Crash showed up enforce at the Copa Cabana Taco Shop in La Mesa to raise the fricken roof and blow any Carne Asada not bolted down out the windows.  Everybody who is anybody, or even if you weren’t – you were invited.    And why is a tiny taco shop in the middle of Lemon Grove ground zero for Punk?   I don’t know, but it works and Lemon Grove really showed up.  If you want to see the gallery of pictures from the show, check it out here – Adult Crash at the CopaCabana.  Adult Crash website can be found here – Adult Crash.

Adult Crash always puts on a great show and tonight was no different.  We were worried that the venue was so obscure that people would not know that the show was there.  But that was not the case and were relieved when a group of kids wearing black T-Shirts showed up with a plate of brownies.   We do not know, nor did we ask what was in the brownies.

When the kids showed up with brownies, the show was on.

The show was great.  Everyone was wearing earplugs because Adult Crash always shows up with stacks of Marshall Amps.  This time was no different and the sound was loud.

Patrick likes to play drums loud.  If you see his hands after the show they are ripped up because he plays the drums with such force and abandonment.

After the show we all headed over to Super Pollo which is about 1 trillion times better than Pollo Loco.  It was amazing and Chloe looked amazing and chic holding up the best album of the year.

SnapShots Show a Fun Day at the Beach

Posted on May 15, 2014 in Family

The Christie’s decided to go the beach.  The water was nice.  Not too Cold, Not to Hot.  The beach is a fun place to go whether your 1 years old, or 100 years old.  It’s a place where everyone loves to go.  Except Vampires.
